About the Role
Job Description
The core role will involve the development and delivery of new technologies for the wind industry as part of wider engineering teams. This will include:
Precision measurement of wind turbine structures in the field
Life extension assessment of wind turbines
Calibration of test equipment
Engineering design and CAD drawing
Data analysis
Root cause analysis of structural failures
Inspecting and preparing site service equipment
Client reporting
Planning travel and work logistics
Other aspects of the role will include:
Participating in business development activities
Supporting social media campaigns and website content
Supporting the management of collaborative R&D projects
Skills and Experience
Skills
Candidates should have a strong mathematical, science or analytical background.
An interest in practical mechanical and/or electronic systems.
Competence with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with CAD software (optional)
Qualities
The offshore wind industry is perfect for adventurous people with a love of the outdoor environment. The role will involve periods working away on wind farm locations around the UK and abroad.
Working in small remote teams requires individuals who are self-motivated, resourceful and take personal responsibility.
We are looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of trying to find solutions to problems and pushes themselves to look for new ways of doing things.

Qualifications
Three A’s at A-Level including Mathematics and a Physical Science.
BTEC Diploma grade D*D*, with an A grade A level Mathematics.
Applicants with strong profile, but without A Level Mathematics will be subject to passing a Maths assessment.
Full driving licence.
Valid passport.
Is this right for me?
The nature of delivering engineering services to the wind industry will require periods of working away from home and international travel.
Comfort working at height, offshore transit by vessel or helicopter and operating in an industrial environment are all requirements’ candidates should consider before applying.
Working remotely and time spent working independently at home will be required.
You will have the opportunity to complete a BEng Electro-Mechanical Engineering degree with the University of Warwick during periods of block release whilst working full time with EchoBolt.
You will receive a salary and all course fees and accommodation will be covered during your apprenticeship.
Salary and Working Arrangements
Year 1 salary will be £16,770 rising to £22,308 over the course of your apprenticeship.
